Originally from California and currently residing in Tulsa by way of New York, London, & Tel Aviv, most of Michael’s background has been in growing start-ups and investing in start-ups. In the last few years, he has become more impact-focused and is currently working with the George Kaiser Family Foundation in Tulsa, Oklahoma to explore different ways to better connect Tulsa with the coasts and help build the 21st Century economy in the Heartland.
Strategist and Publicist/Redefining Cannabis
Melissa Wynne-Jones is a producer, strategist and webweaver who currently consults with cannabis businesses to develop innovative marketing campaigns and strategic partnerships.
She has partnered with the creative agency Redefining Cannabis to educate and normalize cannabis use as a pathway for empowerment and healthy living. She recently has developed original popup experiences for Tilray, managed logo and packaging redesign for Eureka Vapor, led PR campaigns for Cannabliss Retreats, The Golden Tarp Awards, and Northern Nights Music Festival, and produced the 2018 Cannabliss Retreats and Cosmic Connection Festival and several Soho House events.
Previously, she had a colorful past for nearly a decade as a publicist and operations manager at The Confluence, providing PR for world-renowned music festivals, artists and lifestyle brands. From 2000-2010 in the SF Bay Area, she pioneered the re-emergence of ritual theater and ceremonial art by co-founding and running Mystic Family Circus, a visionary entertainment agency and production company. Melissa holds a BA in Mass Communications from UC Berkeley.
